How the Solar Panel Installation Process Works
Every phase of the project is approached with great care and confidence in our workmanship, from design to installation.
Using factors including pitch, square footage and positioning, you’ll receive an initial proposal based on satellite imagery that will provide an understanding of how much power a solar panel system can potentially generate for your home or business.
Our team reviews the rafters and structural supports of your roof, as well as your main electrical panels. We then produce a 3D model of your home or business that is built for extreme weather conditions, including hurricanes.
You are assigned a personal Project Manager who will be your dedicated liaison throughout the process and who will brief you weekly about the status of your solar panel system.
ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
Our in-house engineers incorporate feedback from the initial proposal into a final solar design package for your approval. The design will ensure the integrity of your installation and provide clean, renewable power production for years to come.
PERMITTING AND INSPECTION
Verisolar navigates all required permitting and compliance so you don’t have to. From city permits for electrical approval to structural and floodplain review, we’re on it.
We also work closely with CenterPoint and all applicable agencies to arrange reviews and approvals of your solar panel systems.
The installation phase incorporates several critical factors: code compliance, structural integrity, and panel performance. Depending on the size of your project, installation can take from three days to a week.
During this time, we’ll also focus on the visual appeal of your solar panel system including wire and conduit runs, panel alignments, and avoiding any unnecessary visible railings.
Our solar panel systems are equipped with free, panel-level production monitoring that allows you to track your usage from a phone or computer at any time. If something happens to your system, you’ll immediately receive an alert. Verisolar is committed to keeping your system safe and productive–we perform remote checkups from our office on all of the systems that we’ve installed.
We extend a five-year warranty for our workmanship, while most of our competitors only guarantee up to a year. If an extreme weather event should loosen the penetrations in your roof, we’ll be there to fix it. Plus, we offer a 10-year no-leak guarantee. Need help submitting claims to manufacturers? We’ll be there to help. There is no fine print, no 1-800 number to call.
When it’s filing time, you’ll able to take advantage of the solar incentives available to you from the government, most importantly the 30% federal tax credit. We’ll make sure all of your paperwork is in order so you can file with ease.
